A while back I was asked to look at a FB ad account to see if it could be salvaged.

Theyโ€™d been running the campaign for 3 months, spending close to 3k/month on ads.ย

The campaign was only โ€˜kind ofโ€™ spitting out a few leads here and there, and they were thinking about just scrapping FB altogether.

Sadly, this happens all the time and folks just throw in the towel because they think that FB ad wonโ€™t work for their biz, or that their clients just arenโ€™t on FB (thereโ€™s over 2B users, so yes, they are ๐Ÿ˜œ).

But usually thereโ€™s an easy fix, and itโ€™s almost always one (or all) of these 3 things:

1๏ธโƒฃ Your audience is too small for the budget that youโ€™re running

๐Ÿ‘‰ if youโ€™re targeting 100k people with $100/day, pretty much everyone in that audience will have seen your ads (and be sick of them) within a couple of weeks

๐Ÿ‘‰ which means your campaign will stop converting and ad costs will start to go up ๐Ÿ‘†

2๏ธโƒฃ Youโ€™re targeting the wrong audience

๐Ÿ‘‰ possibly due to lack of research and understanding how to properly target on FB

๐Ÿ‘‰ OR, more likely, you have too many โ€˜targeting optionsโ€™ selected (this actually confuses the FB algorithm and can cause your ads to stall)

3๏ธโƒฃ B-O-R-I-N-G

๐Ÿ‘‰ your ads suck (sorry ๐Ÿ˜ฌ)

This is actually the most common problemโ€ฆย

๐Ÿ‘‰ you talk too much about yourself/your business in your ad copy

๐Ÿ‘‰ youโ€™re not telling people the BENEFIT that they will get by signing up, getting in touch, downloading your video/ebook, etc.ย

๐Ÿ‘‰ youโ€™re not painting a CLEAR picture of how their life will be better with YOU in in ๐Ÿ˜‰

Hope that helps. Questions? Ask away!
