There are 3 types of congruency that you need to really drive conversions with your digital marketing. (Ads on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube; landing pages/websites, videos, social media content, etc.) Iโ€™m just going to call it content for the rest of this post to make it simple.

Does all of your content make sense visually?

โ†’ do all of your social profiles, landing pages, email headers, etc, have a common theme?

โ†’ are you consistent with maintaining touch points with your audience (emails/posts/ads/retargeting)?

โ†’ at a higher level, this could be considered branding, but you donโ€™t need to have a master brand plan to make sure that youโ€™re using a similar colour scheme, photos that convey a similar message, and consistent touch points to stay connected with your clients

Does all of your content have a similar message, or are you all over the place?

โ†’ what are the TOP 2-3 things that you want to get across to your audience? (You can have โ€œsub-topics,โ€ but aim for 2-3 core ideas).

โ†’ do you have specific names for your processes/steps/etc, and are you using those EXACT names everywhere they are mentioned?

โ†’ do you use a consistent tone throughout all of your content? (Funny, educational, inspirational, etc)

Are you speaking to your audiences DEEPEST desires/fears/motivators/pain points?

โ†’ what do they want thatโ€™s 1 or 2 levels deeper than the result/benefit that youโ€™re helping them achieve?

โ†’ what have they already tried that didnโ€™t work, and how are you different?

โ†’ what are they struggling with on a daily/weekly/monthly basis? And what is the long term cost to them of doing nothing?
